At Aztec Adventure, we believe that adventure should be accessible to everyone — and our Disability Sailing sessions are a perfect example of how we make that vision a reality.

In partnership with Upton Warren Sailing Club and Bromsgrove District Council, and supported by Short Breaks, Groups & Activities funding, these sessions are led by passionate, qualified RYA Instructors and a fantastic team of volunteers. Together, they create a safe, welcoming, and empowering environment for all who take part.

 

No Experience Needed – Just Bring Your Sense of Adventure

Whether you're brand new to sailing or simply want to try something different, our Disability Sailing sessions are open to all. With adapted equipment and a variety of accessible boats, absolutely anyone can get out on the water and experience the thrill of sailing.

From learning to control your own dinghy to enjoying a guided cruise around the lake, there’s something for everyone — regardless of mobility or previous experience.

 

The Sessions

All sessions take place at Aztec Upton Warren on selected Monday evenings throughout the summer:

🕠 45-minute time slots available between 5:30pm – 7:30pm
💷 £4.50 per session

What’s Available on the Water?

Hansa Dinghy

Our single and double-seater dinghies are ideal for hands-on sailors. You’ll take full control of your boat — learning how to steer, trim the sails, and manage your speed. Whether you’re sailing solo or with a buddy, how far you go is up to you.

Wheely Boat

Our motorised Wheely boat is designed specifically for wheelchair users. You can board using a front-access ramp and enjoy a relaxing, guided tour of the lake — all from the comfort of your own chair. It’s the perfect way to experience the water without having to transfer out of your wheelchair.

Cruiser

Our larger cruiser boats offer a more laid-back sailing experience. No experience is necessary, and you’ll be accompanied by a friendly volunteer from Upton Warren Sailing Club. Sit back, take in the view, and enjoy the freedom of the open water.
